Dr. Friedman is described as a ‘visionary’ and an ‘exemplary clinician and mentor’ by his nominators from the Division of Paediatric Medicine and the Complex Care team. Dr. Friedman’s list of awards and appointments is lengthy and includes humanitarian, teaching and clinical excellence awards. He has written many books for parents which are sold around the world. He is considered a pioneer in the growth of the pediatric hospitalist movement in Canada and has written many national guidelines for acute hospital care in Canada.
