Jakes Gigantic Give 2012
THEY DISCOVERED THE POWER OF GIVING…
… at the 2012 Jake’s Gigantic Give held at the former Kromer Radio Building. Hundreds of children and their parents attended over a two day period at the end of November 2012. They had their family photo taken, met their volunteer “angels”, read their “Mission Cards” and then went shopping for a child less fortunate than themselves. They wrapped their gifts, created personal holiday greetings and then donated their packages to the charity of their choice to be distributed to the families they serve. The children truly learned the power of giving at this magical event.

Jewish Genetic Diseases Screening Update
Our second annual Genetics Awareness Week held November 20th – 27th was a great success, as was the genetics screening clinic held on Sunday, November 27th at Mount Sinai Hospital. Almost 100 people attended to be screened and over 1,000 referred to our website for information about Ashkenazi Genetic Diseases.

In May 2010, Jacob became a Bar Mitzvah! The Village Shul opened up to a spiritual ceremony of love, infinite opportunities and true miracles. Rabbi Hoch spoke about Jacob and Jacob’s life in ways that we couldn’t even imagine. As the choir sang, Jacob sang along. He knew that this wasn’t any ordinary day.
